Ben Foakes on the pitch for 4th Test in Ahmedabad;
“We know what we are gonna get. They are pushing their conditions to the extremities. We know it’s going to spin quite considerably from ball 1. So it will about try and play well in those conditions.”#INDvENG

England’s wicketkeeper Ben Foakes says that India have been pushing their conditions to the extremities on the pitches for the Second and Third Test. It won’t be any different for the fourth Test in Ahmedabad. England can put up a better game in the Fourth Test knowing what will be in store as far as the picth concerned.
England Slipped to 317 run loss in the second game on a rank turner and getting bowled out for 134 and 164. Batting was even tougher during pink-ball Test in Ahmedabad which India won by 10 wickets to take a 2-1 lead in series pink ball skidding on quicker for the spinners, as many as 21 dismissals came in the manner of leg-before or bowled as England were skittled out for 112 and 81.
Managing 141 in their first innings with Joe Root bagging a five-wicket haul, India had no problems in chasing down the paltry target of 49 to wrap up the Test inside two days.
“Obviously, we got thoroughly outplayed. Those were tricky conditions, but they played well. They have a couple of class spinners and we did not have answers to them so I think going forward, we have to be good enough to counter that to score big runs on the board,” Ben Foakes said
The England Wicketkeeper has displayed skill behind stumps in thw last two Test and there were also the toughest conditions he experienced in terms of glove work
“I don’t think we’re concerned. We know what we’re going to get and I guess they’re pushing their conditions to the extremities. We know it’s going to spin considerably from ball one so it’s about trying to find a way to play well in those conditions and understand they’re going to be challenging,” said Foakes.
Foakes believe that England are capable of winning the game and drawing the series.
“We’re still in a position to draw (the series), we are in with a chance of a pretty awesome achievement if we win this last one. It’s going to be difficult knowing the kind of surface we’re going to play on but we have just got to be better than we were in the last game,” said Foakes.
