Prasidh Krishna added to India’s squad for the Oval Test
Prasidh Krishna, a Karnataka pacer, has been called up to India’s squad for the fourth Test against England. The BCCI said in a statement on the eve of the game that the decision was made in response to a request from the Indian team management.
Prasidh had been training and traveling with the team since the start of the five-Test tour as one of the standby players. Prasidh, who has yet to play a Test match for India, made his debut in the home series against England in March this year and has only played three ODIs for the country. India’s lone spinner
Meanwhile, isn’t a major concern, and the all-rounder will be available for selection. Jadeja, India’s lone spinner in the series, injured his knee while fielding during England’s only innings at Headingley, which the hosts won by an innings and 72 runs.
Jadeja, on the other hand, did bowl and bat in India’s second innings after the scare. The all-rounder was only taken for precautionary scans after the Test ended on the fourth morning, to determine the extent of the damage done. With the series tied at 1-1, the fourth Test will be played at The Oval in London.
