Mushfiqur Rahim to miss white-ball leg of Zimbabwe tour
Mushfiqur Rahim, the veteran wicket-keeper batsman, has withdrawn from the remainder of Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe due to personal concerns, according to the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
Entering The Tour’s Bio-bubble in Dhaka
Cricketers must be quarantined for ten days before entering the tour’s bio-bubble in Dhaka, as approved by the BCB and Cricket Australia (CA). As a result, Mushfiqur decided to stay in the bubble and play the T20Is in Zimbabwe, despite the fact that completing the 10-day necessary bio-bubble in time for the Australia series would be challenging.

Missed the Remainder of The Tour in Zimbabwe
Mushfiqur, on the other hand, has had to reconsider his decision due to a recent personal development. ‘For family reasons, Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim will miss the remainder of the tour in Zimbabwe,’ announced the BCB in a statement.
”Mushfiqur will leave Harare later today and travel to Dhaka. He will miss Bangladesh’s three ODIs against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on 16, 18 and 20 July and also the three-match T20 international series that starts at the same venue on 23 July. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) requests that all respect the privacy of Mushfiqur and his family at this time.”
As of now, Mushfiqur’s participation in the Australia series is in doubt. The series is still dogged by a new wave of Covid-19 cases throughout the country, which has resulted in a nationwide lockdown.
