No changes in England Men’s team Visit to Pakistan

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has stated that the England men’s squad will visit Pakistan in October for two Twenty20 Internationals for the first time since 2004. Similarly, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises have stated that they have not received any communication from the BCCI or the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) requesting the release of English players for the Pakistan tour.

The two Pakistan-England games are provisionally set for October 12 and 14, right in the middle of the IPL playoffs. The IPL final will take place on October 15.

“England men’s and women sides will be coming together to Pakistan. The T20Is will be double-headers, following which England and Pakistan men sides will leave for Dubai for the T20 World Cup while England’s women will stay back for the ODIs,” a PCB spokesman said.

Following the cancellation of England’s white-ball visit of Bangladesh in October, the PCB issued a statement. The IPL 2021 features 14 England players, however, there are a number of injuries on the roster.
