Hasan Ali rested for first T20I after leg strain

Hasan Ali will sit out the first of three T20Is against England as a precaution after straining his left leg during a practice session at Trent Bridge. On the morning of the first game, PCB reported Hasan’s absence.

Hasan took part in all three One-Day Internationals against England, including a five-wicket haul in the second game. It was his first five-for in an ODI since2017 when he was sidelined for over a year due to a back issue. On his comeback, he was stricken by a groin ailment, which forced him to take a 20-month break.

Following assessments ahead of the second T20I, a decision on the pacer’s future availability will be made. The first of three matches in the series will be played.
