Sohail underwent an MRI scan, which indicated a grade three tear damage that he sustained during a training session in Derby last week.

Pakistan Cricket Board Issued Official Statement

Haris Sohail, a middle-order batsman for Pakistan, has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series against England due to a hamstring injury. The Pakistan Cricket Board issued an official statement confirming the news.

Grade-Three Tear Damage

An MRI scan indicated a grade three tear damage to the 32-year-old, which he sustained during a training session in Derby last week.

“I was keenly looking forward to the ODIs as part of my objective to contribute to the side’s success and also cement my position in the side,” Sohail said.

“In this background, I am disappointed that my tour has been cut short, but I will return to Lahore and undergo a rehabilitation programme so that I can fully recover for the 2021-22 season,” he added.

Four-week Rehabilitation

Before undergoing a review, the PCB medical panel has suggested the left-handed middle-order batsman to go through a four-week rehabilitation program. Sohail, who was picked in the ODI team, will now travel to Pakistan and attend the National High-Performance Centre in Lahore for rehabilitation.
