Former Cricketers Disappointed On Ashwin’s Non-Inclusion
For the ongoing fourth Test against England, India made two changes, but star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was once again left out of the starting XI. At The Oval, Virat Kohli decided to stick with his four pacers and a spinner combination, replacing Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma with Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur.
After India lost the third Test by an innings and 76 runs at Headingley, cricket experts and fans demanded Ashwin’s inclusion in the XI, but he was overlooked for the fourth time on the current tour. Former England captain Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to say it was “madness” to leave out a player with 413 wickets and five Test centuries.
It seems that the megastar in the team does not like Ashwin’s inclusion in the team, particularly in the place of Sir Jadeja. If Jadeja is at least 40% fit, his dearest skipper can’t be imagined to give him even a break from a single test.

“On England’s most spin-friendly ground, I can’t believe they left out Ashwin yet again. This group is incredible. @ashwinravi99 has to be the first or second name on your list of five best bowlers.
Leaving him and @MdShami11 out at the Oval is like wishing for death as if you want to lose “Shashi Tharoor sent out a tweet.
Prior to the England Test series, Shwin had a six-wicket haul in a County Championship game, but he was overlooked for the first three Tests. The off-most spinner’s recent Test appearance came against New Zealand in the World Test Championship final, where he took four wickets and scored 29 runs. India, on the other hand, lost the summit clash by eight wickets.
