For the upcoming Indian Premier League, the list of infected by coronavirus is getting higher, 10 members of deployed ground staff and six managers of the event has tested positive for Covid-19

Indian Premier League organizers alarmed about the growing positive cases at Wankhede Stadium from 8 positive cases up to 10 positive cases as of now.

BCCI Still Holds For IPL in Mumbai

“Hyderabad is one of the stand-by venues but for all practical purposes, we are still not thinking about shifting games from Mumbai. It will be difficult to create another bio-bubble at such short notice,” a senior BCCI official told.


Axar Patel Tested Positive

“Delhi Capitals all-rounder Axar Patel has tested positive for COVID-19. He had checked into the team hotel in Mumbai on March 28, 2021, with a negative report. His report from the second COVID test, came positive,” the DC statement said.

The operations management of Indian Premier League will closely monitoring for the positive cases and prioritizing mass vaccine for every players and staff participating on the upcoming Indian Premier League 2021

We have enough back-up staff to handle as we had factored in that the situation in Mumbai is grim at the moment. But yes, we are closely monitoring the situation,” the official added.
