The Bangladesh Cricket Board has declared that Dhaka Premier League participants-players, teams, and officials would face severe penalties if the competition’s bio-bubble is compromised at any moment during the upcoming season, which begins on May 31.
Securing The Local T20 Event
The board is putting together the arrangements for securing the local T20 event after the National Cricket League was postponed and would be covered by BCB, which will be BDT 6 crore.
12 Participating Teams

“Points can be deducted while there is a provision of fines including suspension of players/officials if bio-bubble is breached,” said Ali Hossain (CCDM),
“We have a Covid-19 disciplinary committee and they will look after the matter and make a decision in this regard according to the clause mentioned by us for the teams,” he said.
20% Pay Cut For The 2019 Edition
Meanwhile, the CCDM has stated that cricketers earning more than BDT 10 lakhs will be subjected to a 20% pay cut for the 2019 edition of the event to overcome the financial strain on the clubs due to the epidemic.
“Players earning more than BDT 10 Lakhs in DPL will have 20 percent reduction as you all know that it’s hard to bear all the expenses during the time of corona. We have spoken with the cricketers and they are ready to accept it,” Hossain added.
