BCB willing to join PCB and SLC in co-hosting ICC events
In the future 2024-31 cycle of ICC events, the Bangladesh Cricket Board is ready to join forces with its counterparts in Pakistan and Sri Lanka to jointly host two ICC World Cups.
SLC and BCB to host the 2027 and 2031 World Cups
The Pakistan Cricket Board was earlier rumored to be considering forming a cooperation with SLC and BCB to host the 2027 and 2031 World Cups, respectively. On June15, the board of directors had its tenth meeting. BCB president Nazmul Hasan indicated that the board will meet with surrounding countries to co-host several ICC events after expressing interest to solely host the 2025 Champions Trophy.

BCB opted to take part in the ICC Men’s Events host selection process(2024-2031), and in order to speed up the process, a management team led by BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury and included board directors Jalal Yunus and Ahmed Sajjadul Alam was formed to monitor the process.
“We have already stated that we want to host the ICC Champions Trophy while we are ready to co-host other events with our neighbouring countries,” Jalal said.
“India is likely to bid to host events solely because they are capable as they have the infrastructure in place and in that case if we have to co-host we will have to do it with PCB and SLC,” he added.
