Afghanistan Prepare For Pakistan Series

The Afghanistan Cricket Board’s head, Azizullah Fazli, is poised to be reinstated (ACB). Fazli will succeed Farhan Yousefzai, who led the cricket board until 2019, including during the World Cup in the United Kingdom.

The CEO, for all intents and purposes

The President of the country is the Patron-in-Chief, and the chairman is the board’s chairman, according to the ACB constitution. The CEO, for all intents and purposes, is the central authority, and he is in charge of cricket operations and administration. The board’s current CEO is Dr. Hamid Shinwari.

Officials from the ACB are optimistic about the sport of cricket in the war-torn country and are looking forward to the next bilateral series against Pakistan in Sri Lanka. The three-match One-Day International series, which has been rescheduled from the UAE, will be held in Hambantota from September 1 to 5.

Permission for the Venue

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has agreed to offer permission for the site in principle, but the ACB has yet to receive authorization. If the series is canceled for some reason, the dates of the Shpageeza Cricket League, Afghanistan’s local T20 competition, which will be hosted in Kabul, may be moved forward. Afghanistan has already had two skill development camps, one for 15 days and the other for 14 days, in preparation for the Pakistan series, and they also have their sights set on the T20 World Cup later this year.
